NewsJune 2010 - The RTI (Pallet Tagging) Interest Group Guideline was ratified by the EPCglobal Board of Governors and includes: May 2010 - Implementation Guide for the use of GS1 EPCglobal Standards in the Consumer Electronics Supply Chain was ratified by the EPCglobal Board of Governors. This Implementation Guide on the use of GS1 EPCglobal standards in the Consumer Electronics supply chain provides an introduction to the CE supply chain, the GS1 organisation and GS1 standards specifically concerning EPCglobal. GS1 EPCglobal supports the global adoption of the Electronic Product Code (EPC) as a global standard to enable accurate information and visibility about products in the supply chain. April 2010 - Conveyance Asset Tag (CAT) Environmental Testing – Technical Implementation Guide was ratified by the EPCglobal Board of Governors. This EPCglobal guidance document provides guidance for use of Passive RFID devices to label and or identify on Conveyance Asset Tags (CAT). The intent of this document is to bring clarity to the level of testing required for RFID devices throughout the transportation industry. The guides are available at no cost, click here to access them. 16 October 2009 - The Strategic Overview and Technical Implementation Guides for GS1 EPCglobal RFID-based EAS for reusable and disposable tags were approved by the EPCglobal Board of Governors. These guides address all relevant challenges and issues on how to implement an RFID-based EAS solution within a retail environment using existing GS1 and GS1 EPCglobal standards.
