EPCglobal’s implementation guidelines aim to streamline particular processes according to standardized practices. One of the goals of the guidelines is to drive EPC adoption by easing the implementation of RFID using existing standards.

Multi-Sourcing EPC Assignment Recommendation

This Multi-Sourcing EPC Assignment recommendation document is meant to address the management of EPC read events using the current EPCglobal Standards in a multi-sourcing environment.  This recommendation is intended to aid in avoiding the duplication of serial numbers within the EPC for retailer’s EPC assigned objects while identifying the ownership of the registered event.
